Robert Carter

Ph.D. in Classics and Dean of the College of Lifelong Learning at Wayne State University in Detroit, is currently member of the Executive Committee for Extension, Continuing Education and Public Service of the National Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges (NASULGC).  Former Editorial Board member of Wayne State University Press, Carter has taught Latin, Greek, the Classical Tradition and Systematic Thinking at the university level.  Author of the Systematic Thinking Curriculum and co-director of the Instructional Institute on Inter-Language Concepts at Indiana University, Carter was formerly president of the Mid-America Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel, executive committee member of the  Directors of the Wisconsin Higher Education Aids Board and of the National Council of Education Opportunity Associations.  As educational consultant, Carter has conducted workshops on proposal writing, leadership, diversity training and political processes in shaping higher education policy making.
